ok i don't know what was up with those last posts, i really don't even remember doing them. Oh well. I was in chicago this weekend visiting my friend chuckie, her real name is chelcie, but she writes it like chuckie. Anyway, a bunch of us went up to visit her for a little birthday bash, since her birthday's on christmas. It was really fun. We went to one of her buddies lofts in the city somewhere, i'm not quite sure where as i fell asleep on the L both ways. (thankfully i had friends to wake me up) Anyway, it was a pretty cool pad. Three of the owners are in this funk band called 2320. They're pretty dope. They play really phat, smooth, funky, sexy music. Just makes you want to groove, ya know?
Last night we had a bunch of people over to watch movies and such. It's times like those that really remind me of how cool all of my friends are. Just chillin eatin pizza and makin fun of the movie. Everyone was laughin havin a good time. Weekends here are pretty sweet lately. I have IMEA coming up this weekend. It's the Illinois music ed convention in Peoria...the armpit of illinois. Theres really nothing good in that city, just strip clubs and pubs. That's really it. Everything closes at 3. It sucks.
Anywho classes are going well, and michelle is doin great. We just had our 3 month a few days ago. Well technically four but whatever, we don't really keep track anymore. Everyone loves all the pictures of my wonderful nephews who are all stellar dudes. I've started on some vocal arrangements of some beatles, parliament, and debussy tunes for vocal jazz. If i'm lucky i might get them performed by our vocal jazz here. That would be pretty sweet. One of them, the Parliament one is taking forever cause the bass is soooooo crazy. But it should be pretty cool when i'm done.
